April Month In Review

Another month has flown by - cripes!  It goes so fast.  This month was a pretty good critter month.

No illness or emergencies to report.  Clooney and Madison are both doing well and have moved into frenemy territory, playing with each other some of the time and fighting the rest of the time.  Nigel is doing great - he is a happy little hedgehog.  Emma has had a good month - she is perpetually scratching on the carpet which drives me crazy but other than that she is doing well.  Kitties are all doing fantastic.  Ollie pushes the naughty envelope some days but for the most part is lovable and entertaining.  Aggie is great - playing lots more and hanging out with me.  Phoebe is her same sweet self, playing with her toys and tattling on her siblings.  Last but not least, the Zoey girl.  Her health seems to be great and she is a happy and engaged kitty.  No complaints here.

Grandma and Grandpa to the critters (my parents) arrive next month - the critters will be so happy as they get SPOILED even more than they already are.  Madison will get to meet them for the first time!

I downloaded the newest version of Picasa the other day and they have lots of new cool editing options.  I played around with some critter snaps to try them out:

The more funky ones are great for those pics that don't turn out quite as well.  There are lots of those...I can see the potential for a huge time waster playing with Picasa.

Whole lots of Nigel - he is such a fun little critter.  He likes the camera and is always happy to pose for me.  Some of these were taken during nap time in the cat tree and others were taken in his cage when I put him to bed.

Anti Snaps

Okay - here is evidence of why there are not many snaps of Emma - she truly hates it.  I make her sit but once the camera comes out she refuses to look at me.  It's so pathetic that I typically just leave her alone.  It is not from lack of love...I promise!  :)

Sub Woofer Exploration

Madison is all over the place and she fits in funky places.  Here are some cute shots of her checking out the sub woofer.  I am glad it wasn't on.  Clooney used to stick his head in when it was on and vibrating when he was a baby....  oh the antics of baby ferrets.  She is 5 and a half months old now - boy time flies....

Four Kitty Post

I like the four kitty posts - they are kinda fun.  Here is Miss Phoebe giving me the evil eye.  Ollie taking a break from bath time.  An action shot of Aggie - walking is about all the action she does with the exception of being chased by the ferrets or Ollie.  Last but not least Miss Zoey awakening from her nap.

Critter Art

Here are a few more critters I have sketched over the past few days.  Maybe soon I will be brave enough to draw my own guys which is the eventual goal.  We shall see....

Phoebe - My Sweet Girl

Phoebe is doing well - still a bit of button lip but other than that she is just fine.  She still plays with her toys everyday, loves on her brother and sticks very close to me always in the same room.  She is my bath kitty who hangs out on the side of the tub while I soak and she even likes to get her face washed with a warm washcloth.  She still hates to be picked up but spends lots of time in your lap.

Aggie girl

Look at Aggie posing for pictures.  Its an unusual thing as she is not a huge fan of the camera.  Not quite as bad as Emma but close.  She seems to be going strong - my eldest girl.  She has developed a taste for people food and is quite the beggar.  She still has no love for her sister Phoebe but she spends endless time with Zoey - those two are inseparable.  She also has developed the need to howl while you get the canned catfood every day - as if she hasn't eaten for 5 weeks.  Geez.....

Madison Update

Miss Madison - my little girl ferret.  She is doing so well.  She fits in well and continues to make progress towards becoming friends with Clooney.  They have reached the somewhat peaceful co-existence phase and on rare occasions they even play with each other.

Madison is into everything, under foot, terrible about trying to get out the front door - but - as baby ferrets go she is actually pretty good.  Not quite as good as Clooney was when he was a baby - but then he is one of the most mellow ferrets ever.....

We are truly enjoying having her as a part of our crazy zoo....
