The Week in Review

Somehow this ended up being a busy critter week.  I think it started out that way because everyone was off kilter with the hubs and I being away for the weekend.  The children were confined to one area of the house which they hate.  The hedgehog was in his pen rather than his cage.  The parents were coming in to check on them but not at a scheduled time so I think everyone was out of sorts.  Emma stayed with my folks which makes her out of sorts for sure as she is not a pup that does all that well with change.  So we spent Monday kinda getting back into the groove.

Monday also brought a vet visit for Nigel to check on his skin issues.  The vet determined that he had the start of mild dermatitis and put him on antibiotics.  I have to say that all in all the little guy has been pretty darn cooperative about taking his medicine.  The good news is he seems to be getting better....

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday brought crazy early summer weather - thunder, lightening, rain.  After our crazy tornado weather day a few weeks ago - weather makes pretty much everyone around here nervous - including me.  I will say that Emma spent a good portion of the week under the bed.  The kitties had a few episodes of finding places to hide from the loud thunder.  Nigel was awakened by one storm and proceeded to get out of his blanket bed at the end of the couch and get in my lap.  Only Clooney doesn't seem all that effected by it.  He sleeps when its cloudy and rainy so he pretty much missed the whole thing.

Now here it is - Friday evening....we are curled up in the bed with Nigel, Zoey, Phoebe and Oliver.  Aggie is snoozing downstairs on the fuzzy blanket she so loves.  Clooney is sleeping in Nigel's room - he loves it in there as we keep it warmer than the rest of the house for the little hedgie.  Emma is firmly planted under the bed hiding from the thunder - I so wish she wasn't so afraid.  The weather has moved on and I am loving a lazy evening where everything is low key and laid back.
