A Day in the Life of a Zookeeper
Ever wonder what its like to share your world with a bunch of crazy critters? Tune in to find out!

Meet the Ferrets

Madison - sweet and tiny Miss Maddie - born in 2011.   Madison is a joyful creature who is always happy.  She adores the "little ferrets".  It's funny to call them that because Maddie is the smallest of the bunch weighing in at just 1.5 pounds.  She is spunky even though she is little...we adore her!

Violet - my beautiful and somewhat elusive girl.  She was born in early 2013 and was Finn's litter mate. She is lovely, refined, somewhat delicate in her movements but she is also fierce.  She has no issue giving her siblings a piece of her mind.  She and Maddie are BFFs and often chat with each other while curled up under the covers on our bed.  She loves a good wrestle now and then....love that beautiful girl!

My exuberant and lovey boy Theo.  We believe him to be a part of the same litter as Violet and Finn but we don't know for certain.  If he isn't - he might as well be.  Oh how I love that boy and his antics.  He doesn't really do naughty things (except bite Daddy and the occasional guest) but he is always into something or up to something.  He keeps me hopping but I can't imagine my days without him.

Kai - the wild boy who is Theo's BFF - those two are attached at the hip.  He is quite the exuberant baby - leaping at everything and infatuated with feet.  Kai likes to wrestle and isn't big on hugs and kisses quite yet - although I did save him from a paper towel tube he managed to get his head stuck in and I got some kisses for that....

Our beautiful Tabitha.  She reminds me a lot of Violet - not only in how she looks, but in her mannerisms...she doesn't really want to be picked up and held and she is quite independent.  She also is a fan of toys and loves ones that make noise.

Introducing Bash (Sebastian) - he is one of our newest additions who joined the family in March 2015.  He is gentle and sweet and curious and GIANT - he is really a very large ferret.  He seems to enjoy his new family very much.

Introducing Fiona - Bash's litter mate - she is quite the sweet girl.  She has adorable white feet and a white bib on her chest.  She is quite curious and very interactive with the other ferrets - she plays with anyone she can entice.  She is also quite affectionate - lots of ferret kisses at the ready!
