Hedgehog Water Park

Every so often I get to host Hedgehog Water Park.  The little critter loves his wheel and he loves to run on it when its in the tub for a cleaning and full of water.  He hops in and runs like the wind - splashing water all over himself, me, the tub and the bathroom in general.  He helps scrub by biting on the washcloth and playing tug of war.  All in all he has a blast, he is a squeaky clean little one at the end and he wears himself out and needs a nap - preferably one wrapped up in a fluffy towel being held and petted.  Nope - he's not spoiled.....

Bottomless Bowl - Hit By A Bus Series - Supplemental

So - I finally bit the bullet and decided to go on the Bottomless Bowl offered by Petco.  The prices are reasonable and they carry all the stuff I need for the zoo:

Nigel's Litter

Clooney's Supplement

Clooney's Treat

Nigel's Food - yes really - Nigel

Nigel's Worms

Kitty and Clooney food

Emma food

Kitty Litter

Kitty Treats

Emma Treats
You can schedule them for recurring delivery - not that brave quite yet - or do the quick reorder which is what I will do for now.  Shipping is $5.99 - by the time I get to the pet store, take the time to get the stuff, check out, lug to the car and lug inside I figure its worth the money.  First order will be delivered next week.

Freaky Ferret

I am still giggling over Clooney and his reaction to getting brushed yesterday.  Not sure exactly what the deal is with that but I scooped him up and gave him loves and then ran the brush over him.  Oh how I wish I could have captured this on video - he was so excited - leaping in the air and running all over the bed like a maniac.  Too funny.

I thought maybe this was a one time reaction - um - nope.  When I did it later in the evening - same thing.  Then he was so riled up he was playing with the cats and racing through the house making his little happy ferret noise.  Not sure why but it sure is entertaining!

Busy Bone - Chewnola

These bad boys are Emma new favorite - she goes ape for them and they keep her busy for 30 - 45 minutes. I love it when I find something she really really likes as she is not a very food motivated dog.  If you have a pup you should give them a try...

Revisiting Old Stomping Grounds

I found Zoey in here yesterday:

A cat in the sink - what's so unusual about that you might ask?  Well - Zoey used to lay in the sink all the time when she was little.  I haven't seen her in the sink for years - literally - years!  Not sure what inspired her to lay in there.  She didn't stay for all that long either - interesting.....

Shed Monster

We are often sucked in by infomercials - we have purchased many things - some good and some bad.  A couple of weeks ago we decided to order the Shed Monster.  With 7 critters - 6 hairy - we have hair everywhere.  We have a Dyson vacuum that I run at least 4 times a week and I can fill it 3 times if I do the whole house.

So - the Shed Monster arrives mid day and of course I have to check it out.  Zoey is the best guinea pig for things like this because she lets me do whatever I want to her with little complaint.  So I tried it  on her back - it got a good bit of fur - tried it on her belly - not so much.  It did pretty well on Aggie.  Hardly anything from Phoebe and Oliver.  Then I tried it on Emma -- OMG -- I got like 6 dogs worth of hair off the girl - it was crazy.

Even crazier - hubs came home and tried it out and got just as much hair in the second round.  This is great - hopefully we will get to a point where all the under coat is off and we are in maintenance mode.  This one goes in the win column for infomercial purchases.....

Crocs

My new crocs arrived today - I so needed a new pair as I had worn a hole in the bottom of the old ones.  Last night - off to bed.  Sleeping soundly til 4:30 am when I hear crunch crunch crunch - my little ferret boy chomping away on the Velcro closures.  He so loves Velcro.

In addition to the chomping there was relocation included in the mix as well - one shoe made it all the way into the hall bathroom and the other under the bed.  I have a hard enough time finding things - I don't need help from my helper.  In addition to chomping Velcro - we got a side of plastic rattling as the ferret explored the garbage.  What a naughty boy.  Tonight - shoes are in an unreachable spot and interesting garbage has been taken out - hopefully no early wake up call....

Check That Project Off the To Do List...

I have books and blogs and screen savers of my little ones but no framed pictures.  I ran into a frame sale and embellished using the Silhouette machine - here's how they turned out.....
