Playful Phoebe

Phoebe LOVES her toys.  She plays with multiple toys each day, she talks to them, she sleeps with them, she doesn't care much for sharing them with other critters.  She is an equal opportunity kind of kitty - no favorites - nothing like the sacred cow Clooney has.

I think that one came from Clooney Booney - short form - maybe?  He has lots of nicknames - the bubby, Cloon, Mr. Ferret courtesy of my dad.  Since he was absent from the last photo shoot I thought I would make up for it with some recent shots:

"Pet Peeves" Volume 7

Each month I feature the thing that's annoying me the most with the critters.  I have to say that going on vacation did me a world of good.  I missed them so much while we were gone that I have no irritation with any of them to report at the moment.  It's early in the month so I may choose to revisit this but for now I am loving spending time with them, watching them play on the cat tree, taking care of Emma, working with Nigel and playing with Clooney.  I am a happy critter mom!

Clooney was absent from this photo shoot surprisingly - I feel certain he was napping.  I promise there will be plenty of shots of him soon.

Zoey's Cubby

Another cat tree post.  See - I told you it was popular!  Zoey has claimed the lower cubby as hers.  Clooney likes it because he can access it via the ramp and sometimes the others will lay in there but Zoey is a regular.  She sleeps in there at night sometimes - taking her sprawl off my side of the bed - ah its the little things!

Queen of the World - Phoebe

Phoebe loves the cat tree.  She warmed up pretty slow to start but once I put toys on every level she is up there multiple times a day.  Sometimes she even sleeps up there - oh yeah!!

Here she is on the tippy top perch checking on the scenery.  She loves the pom pom toys that came with the cat tree - they are tied on to a couple of the levels and she plays with them often.  So glad that the kitties are enjoying their new toy.

Chompers - and other cute Nigel Snaps

I take a gazillion pictures of the critters for blog purposes.  Sometimes I get some interesting shots like this one:

Look at those hedgie chompers!!  Did you know hedgehogs have 36 teeth crammed into that tiny little mouth?  It's rare that you get to see the teeth.  Nigel is very good about not biting - he bit me once on his first day with me - never since.  He bit the hubby once on the arm - not sure why - I am guessing he smelled something he liked.  He is good about not biting the other critters as well.

While I was busily snapping away - in the middle of the day - disturbing the little one while he was trying to sleep - here are some other cute shots I got:
