Whole Lotta Nuttin'

So - here it is - the fourth of the month and I haven't blogged a thing for August.  In a way it's a good thing.   We have a pretty good routine at the moment and everyone is doing quite well.

I guess the biggest news is that my sweet baby birdies flew the nest today - twice....  They left, came back and left again.  I saw them in the yard doing their thing.  Fingers crossed mommy will have another brood.  It's been a great wildlife day around here as well - lots of deer both this morning and this evening and the flock of turkeys marched through a bit ago.

As for my indoor critters - Winston had a great day playing outside.  He went out around 8 this morning and didn't come back in until 4:45.  It's finally a bit cooler so he was quite happy to hang out all day.  Emma has been doing well.  As I type this she is sacked out on the bedroom floor dreaming about chasing something - those feet are moving - silly dog.  The kitties are doing great - they seem to be pretty happy cats.  The ferrets are all doing well too - they are wild little children!

Tomorrow will be deep clean day on their area - what a mess... ugh.

So - all in all - August is off to a good start!
