Here is my littlest dude napping with his stuffed animal. Nigel loves to cuddle up with him at night. He likes it when I put his hedgie close to the edge of his blankets making an opening for him to easily access his bed. I can imagine that its tough with pokey little quills to get in and out of the blankets.
Once he is in his bed he finds the corner, gets comfy and then pulls his stuffed hedgehog in to the bed so he is between the corner of his cage and the toy. I think this makes him feel safe while he sleeps. Maybe it keeps him warm as well? Regardless of the reason I must say it is kinda cute.
Nigel has another stuff hedgehog that lives in the cat tree where he sleeps. He is not nearly as excited by that toy and in fact - Madison plays with it more often than Nigel does.
