Empty Water

We have the water bowls where you fill up the jug and flip it over into the bowl.  Without this, eight critters would go through a regular bowl multiple times a day.  We have multiple water stations in the house.

When the bowl is empty (which rarely happens) the critters have their own special ways of letting us know.  Emma licks the empty bowl.  This is my least favorite method of alerting us.  Followed closely by Oliver who  howls at the top of his lungs.  Zoey stands with her two front paws in the empty bowl... that's actually kinda cute.  Phoebe and Aggie don't raise too much of a fuss.

The ferrets....the herculean strength ferrets actually push the bottle off the base and roll ot to various parts of the bathroom.  Sometimes they make it all the way to the bedroom.  They drag the base around as well which is heavy as it still has water in it.  They are funny...

Needless to say I try not to let the bowl get too low for a variety of reasons.
