Yesterday's News

Did you know that hedgehogs are super litter box users?  Little Mr is great about keeping his cage all neat and tidy.  The only catch is that hedgehogs are also omnivores - they will eat just about anything.  Unfortunately regular cat litter is on the menu.  They can get quite sick from that as the litter expands in their stomach and intestines and can cause all sorts of problems.

To combat that issue we use a special litter for our dude.  Its called Yesterday's News and its made from recycled newspapers.  Thankfully Nigel does not have it on his menu so we are good to go.

I went to pick up some litter the other day at our shiny new pet store.  The litter was in the same aisle as the cage full of baby ferrets.....danger, danger Will Robinson....
