The New Entry Way Rug

I replaced the entry rug today - the old one had served us well but had seen its better days with stains and loose bindings to show for its years of service.  The critters were quite funny about the new addition:

Emma wasn't all that interested in the new rug - but she was looking very worried when I rolled up the old rug.  She is terrified of walking on the hard wood floors so for a moment there she had the look of panic until the new rug went down.

Aggie and Zoey were pretty much uninterested - they sniffed it and moved on.

Phoebe and Oliver have taken up residency on the new rug - they love it.  Phoebe has christened it with multiple cat toys and they have spent the afternoon snoozing on the new carpet.

The ferrets were all fascinated by the new rug - they all had to walk the perimeter and all over the center of the rug smelling and rubbing their faces on it to mark their territory.  Then, of course, they had to see what was under it as well.  Only after a full inspection did they move on to other things.

Nigel hasn't seen the new rug yet.  I am guessing he will want to check it out top and bottom as well.
