Border Collies - the smartest dogs in the dog world?

Oh my Emma dog - she is part border collie - she is smart like border collies.  Luckily she is also part lab so she has a little bit of chill in her as well....

This describes her exactly in some ways and misses the mark in other - thankfully she is not a destructive dog at all.  In fact - years ago I had ordered a giant spool of expensive ribbon for our wedding.  Emma loves cardboard and so wanted to get to the spool that she ripped off the end, removed the ribbon so perfectly that she didn't even unwind it, set it to the side and proceeded to chew the cardboard spool into a gazillion bits.  I was so surprised by the ribbon in perfect condition she didn't even get in trouble for the spool.
