Evidently they are super endangered and this is the first to be born at the Minnesota zoo in 20 years! :) I think mama tapir deserves a medal - 419 days is a LONG time to be pregnant.

I have grown kinda attached to this little one and her mommy - I check in on them via web cam to see what they are up to - its fun to watch....
